The Big Machine

Concept boards I created of the opening slate for Black Mountain film co. The script and concept was a collaboration between Greg Herman and myself. We wanted one solid camera pullout with no cuts.

I built a miniature to get some of the source material. Lighting was a simple pair of parcans bounced off some white foam board. The resulting photos were used for both photoshop comps and projection mapping on 3D.

Sadly this project was never finished. Being an internal project it got sidelined in the interest of client work. I still like the concept and I think the boards and animation made it look pretty cool.
