Small poster project I did during school. Idea was to make some abstract 3D creation. About a year earlier I had been studying astrophysics, so I rolled some of that into this design.
Neutron Degeneracy pressure is a force that helps keep neutron stars in equilibrium. Pretend atoms are cars in a parking lot. You can squish more in, but at some point you just can't because all the spaces fill up, and that creatures a 'pressure' pushing cars out. In the stellar case, it's about Pauli Exclusion Principle, which basically says two neutrons cannot have the same state.
When this pressure is exceeded, you get a black hole (or, at least that's what they thought when I was in school.)
